Cannon Beach

Just the 4 of us took off during the week to go camping at Cannon Beach. We weren't sure what the weather would hold so we chose to go to Cannon Beach RV Resort. It is really nice because you can stay in your own trailer and do your "camping stuff" but you also have the option to use their indoor swimming pool and hot tub, which comes in handy with two children and bad weather. We stayed here once before last fall and had a great time.

We had a little chilly weather at the begining of our trip but it just got better from there. The last couple days were the best days I have ever had on the Oregon Coast.

The kids had so much fun on the beach!! We built sand castles, checked out the sea creatures, had campfires on the beach, watched the sunsets, and of course we did some swimming.

Look Mom, I can float on my back all by myself!!

We ate at Mo's and Kaden couldn't get enough Chowder. He was so funny to watch.

Makayla has become quite the photographer. She took this photo.

On the last day we were at the Coast we went to Oswald State Park. What a find that was. I can't believe neither of us had ever been there!! What a beautiful little hike down to the shore! We spent the whole day there. Makayl found a little pool in the sand that the ocean left as the tide went out that she could swim in. She actually swam with starfish. They were stuck to one of the rocks that bordered the pool. It was really cool. The weather was so nice we were actually hot on the beach.

Kaden's 1'st Birthday!

Kaden turned 1 year old on Monday, the 16th. We went camping at Milo McIver and celebrated his birthday while we were camping. It was perfect! Kaden loves to be outdoors, down and dirty!

Enjoying his new toys.

Getting Adjusted

Well for now we are at Nana and Papa's. We still aren't sure what we are going to do with our living situation. We have toyed with the idea of building a house on some property, but the details are complicated. So we have also kept our options open if a house that we are wishing for happens to come on the market.
All in all, things are going well and we are all adjusting to our new way of living.

Saying Goodbye!

After 5 1/2 years of living and 7 long months of waiting we finally sold our house!

Bitter-Sweet. . . . .

We are really going to miss our friends and neighbors. . . and of course our yard. But we are very excited to be closer to family.

We send out a huge thanks to everyone who helped us move. Especially the "Big Stuff". What a chore.

Our Getaway

We spent last week up in Welches. We didn't get out to do a whole lot cause the weather was kind of crummy but we did have a great time. We did a lot of swimming, some biking, nature walks, golf ball hunting and even some relaxing.
We stayed at Whispering Woods Resort which is right on the golf course. . . that's why we like to go for golf ball hunts. It is like Easter Egg hunting!!
Makayla and Kaden had a great time swimming. And we had a fun time playing with the underwater camera with Nana and Papa.

We went to a the Rainbow Trout Farm and took Makayla fishing. She did great and caught some nice dinner!! Although, Kaden REALLY enjoyed the fish. He was so funny!!

Field Trip

My mom and I took the kids to the Children's Museum on Friday. We took Sarah's 4, my 2 and also some daycare kids. What a fun place to go for really all ages.

We started with the face painting. . . . they painted their own faces.

There is a room for 2 and under which Kaden loved.

The older kids loved getting creative in the "Garage".

Jonathan built a robot.

Makayla and Katy doctored eachother.

And they all spent a lot of time shopping.

~~There was so much to do I can't fit it all on the blog~~

The kids played in the water room, put on a show in the theater room, played at the train table, made clay creations, and so much more.

Ben, Zach, and Katy Play at the water table.

Kaden is fascinated with the water.

Here is a picture of Makayla with her master piece. It's an Elephant, in case you were wondering. :o)
