We got a new camera just over a year ago that is waterproof, we have played around with it quite a bit, but have never had this kind of opportunity to take pictures of fish. It was awesome! Michael and I took turns going out to snorkel, it wasn't the same as being together, but we saw some really cool fish. It was a lot of fun. I even saw a sea turtle this time!!! That made my whole trip. The fish at Hanauma are so friendly that they were actually getting too close for a picture.

Day 5 - Hanauma Bay
We kept our rental car for another day and decided to go to Hanauma Bay on Monday. We weren't thinking very clearly or we would have realized that we needed to get up and go early if we weren't riding the bus or taking a shuttle. . . so, when we got there at about 11AM the parking lot was already full. They won't even let you drive down to see the Bay if the lot is full. It is just Closed! So we drove past the entrance and down the road for a while before turning around and deciding what to do. We drove past again and the lot was still closed. There are people who stand out by the sign to wave people on and I wanted to stop and ask what we should do but Michael wasn't willing. So we drove on and tried to figure out if there was a bus or something we could take up to the parking lot. . . . . after a LONG discussion I had convinced him that we should at least drive by and ask the people if they will open the lot back up when people leave. So, we headed back up the hill and when we got to the top, the lot was open!!!! We were so lucky! 3 times a charm. We again realized how fortunate we were when we got down to the lot and there were seriously only 3-4 parking spots. Talk about timing.
