Halfway there!

20 Weeks!! We are halfway there! As some call it, halftime. I don't feel that it has gone that fast but I am sure the second half will, as we start to get things ready for the baby to come. At this point with Makayla I already had the room painted and bedding picked out, stroller, carseat, I was making Michael set up the crib, etc. . . . This time is very different. We haven't even cleaned out the guest room yet!!! Michael starts accademy with TVFR on March 1st which goes til June 1st, so I don't have much time left if I want any of his help.
The baby is very active and already keeping me up at night. This is very different than with Makayla, she rarely woke me up. It's only going to get better! :o)

IT'S SNOWING!!

Snow hits the Portland area!! We had a blast playing in the snow, and it actually stuck around for more than one day. We went sledding, built snowmen, snow forts and had a snow ball fight. We even did some sledding in the dark which was quite an adventure!!

Make sure that when your children go out to play that they are properly dressed!!!

Farewell Lebanon

Michael has recently decided to take a job with TVF&R (Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue). He was offered the job in December and officially accepted this week. He will be leaving Lebanon Fire, where he has been for 5 1/2 years now, and starting with TVF&R in March. He will go through a 3 month academy and then start shift work after that is complete. It has been a major decision, and we will all need some time to adjust (mentally, physically, financially) but in the long run we are sure that this is the right decision to make at this point in life. Michael is very excited but also nervous. The thought of starting over after so many years at his previous job is a little scary, but I am sure he will get over it. There is a lot he will miss once he leaves Lebanon, but so much to look forward to in this new venture.

Another Good Check-up!

We went to the doctor yesterday for a routine check-up. Everything looks great! The baby in Becca's belly has a great heart beat. . . . . and the "baby" in Makayla's belly is doing just fine too. :o)
The baby has become very active lately. Michael was actually able to feel the baby move on Sunday which he thought was pretty cool. It is really nice to have a daily reminder that everything is going fine.

Slumber Party at Makaylas

Girl's Only Sleepover

Makayla had a girls weekend! She had her cousins, Annika and Bria, over for the first time to spend the night. We went from one princess in the house to THREE.

16 Weeks and counting

We made it through the first trimester and things are still looking good. We go in January 10th to hear the heart beat again. Hopefully soon I will be able to feel the baby all the time and that will put our worries at ease. Things are going great so far and my belly is definitely showing now. If I weren't so on edge about the whole thing I would really be enjoying this pregnancy. I am not nearly as sick as I was last time which is a blessing. I am starting to get my energy back and I am sure will soon start being obsessively organized as usual. Maybe even start thinking about how to decorate the baby room.

Happy New Year!!

We spent New Years Eve at home this year with family and friends. We ate lots of food, played games and had a really good time. We celebrated the new year with our traditional banana splits at midnight.
