I'm King of the Pool!!

Fun in the Sun!

We met the Langs at Osborn Aquatic Park on Monday for a fun day in the sun. We promised Makayla that we would make at least one trip back to Corvallis this summer to go to the water park and it was well worth it. We had a great time!! Couldn't get Michael and Kaden out of the water when it was time to leave.

If only I could post all of the pictures. . . . the expresions on all of our faces as we aproach the plung of the big slide are priceless. I am all smiles as I flip through them trying to pick the best ones. We got some really good shots.
Kaden loved the water park. And went down the slide a number of times.

Kaden gets a Haircut

Kaden has had his hair trimmed once before, bangs and around ears but today we went for his first "real" haircut. I took the advise of a couple friends and took him to a kid friendly hair place. It was a lot of fun. He wasn't too sure he liked someone touching his hair/head so much but he did a really good job!

He got to sit in a really cool car. . . . .

Blow Bubbles. . . . . .

Watch Elmo on TV. . . . . .

And when he was all done he got his very own balloon and a sucker!

He was more than thrilled about the sucker. :o)

Ft. Stevens Camping Trip

Uncle Michael and the girls (Makayla and Annika) climbed the sand dune all the way to the top. Check out the video below to see them come down.

We're home!! I think we have actually been home for like 4 days in the last three weeks!! Still trying to clean out the trailer and get caught up on laundry but we have had a great few weeks. This trip we headed to Ft. Stevens Campground. We had reservations to stay with Nana, Papa, Mema, Papa and the Pietzke family. Grandma Jo and Grandpa Bob came into town the day before we left so they joined us too. Michael and I headed up a day early with the kids so we were able to stay Wed through Sun. So much to do in what didn't seem like enough time.

Mema and Nana caught a crab!
Very skilled catch!

We did so much bike riding, we even got Grandma and Grandpa on a bike. Gpa Bob is 83 and hasn't been on a bike in like 60 years, Grandma Jo will be turing 80 next month but has infact been on a bike more recently, she rode a little with us while campin last year. Both of them did remarkable. I can't believe how much riding they did. . . . I only hope to be able to get on a bike in 50 years!!! Makayla was quite a trooper too, she sure loves to ride her bike!

We spent some time at the lake, it was a great alternative to the beach when it was just too windy to even enjoy being there. Makayla didn't ever want to leave, and I think Kaden ate more sand than the dog!

The cutest boy ther ever was!

Life. . . full speed ahead.

Wow, what a month!! First Kaden's first birthday, then my 20 + 10th birthday. . . . we had gone camping the week before my birthday and then on my birthday (June 29th) Michael suprised me with a trip to Vegas. By suprise I mean, I didn't even know we were going until we got to the airport. He did all the planning, PACKING, and arranging of kid and dog care. And he actually pulled it off, I had NO idea!!! So after a wonderful week in Vegas we came back to reality and then some. I had volunteered to watch my sister, Sarah's, 4 children while she and her husband took a trip to Hawaii for their anniversary. So a half a day after getting back from Vegas she brought the kids over. As of 5:30PM today I am relieved of that responsibility. . . . and we are leaving tomorrow to head to the coast for another camping trip.

I take just this moment to breath a little, relax and try to catch up on stuff.

So, I promise, pictures are to come and more details of our recent adventures.
Unfortunately, we can not share our Vegas pictures, as the digital camera was left at home. We did purchase a disposable but I will have to wait to get the pictures back. . . you know all that ol' school stuff.

That's all for now.
