Some new toys

I found a really good deal on Craigslist yesterday!! I was looking for a Jumparoo for Kaden and found more than I "barganed" for.

He LOVES his new toys!! And I think his sister is just as excited.

From the moment we put Kaden in the Jumparoo he wore a grin from ear to ear. He was so cute.

I know it is a little late to get a swing for him, but he absolutely loves it!!! I knew he would as he tried one of these swings out at a friends house recently. The jumparoo, swing and two other items were a package deal and definitely worth it.

Jumparoo!!

A video of Kaden in his Jumperoo.

WHO'S 60?!?!?

Can you believe it??
Lynn Doty has turned 60!!

It's really hard to get all 60 candles on one cake. . . . .

Jane (his wife) planned a great party for him. Here are some pictures of the day. For old time sake, it was a "Lunch Box" style event. All the kids helped in the kitchen.

For those of you who don't know Lynn, he ran/owned his own deli (two infact) for many years.
Family and friends at the party.

Kaden and Makayla help papa Lynn open his cards and gifts.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN!

Crazy Girl!

Every once in a while Makayla has to give us a challenge. This day it was going to bed. I was upstairs working on some stuff and she was suppose to be in bed. She continued getting out of bed and coming upstairs to find me, even after being punished. Finally I convinced her to go back to her bed and I would come tuck her in. . . . . . when I came down, this is how I found her. Of course I had to take pictures.

At least she made it back to her room.

Happy Fall

OUR TRIP TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH

We headed out to the pumpkin patch today. It wasn't raining so we figured we should probably take advantage of it. We weren't sure where to go so I looked up a couple places online. As we were headed to one of the places I had found, we saw another place, Heavenly Harvest, so we thought we might as well check them out. We ended up staying there and had a great time. We went on a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. We got to pick out any pumpkin we wanted big or small, white, orange, green, etc. . . and then we had a hay ride back to the "farm store". There Makayla played in a box of corn, we had duckie races, went through the hay maze and shot corn out of a cannon. We had to drag Makayla away, she could have stayed there all afternoon.

Out in the pumpkin patch, pickin' out our pumpkins.

4 Months Old!!

It is so hard to believe that so much time has gone by. My little scooterbug is 4 months old!! He is cutier than ever. He rolled over for the first time on Wednesday, he did it 4 times in a row. Soon enough he will be rolling his way across the room.

Our trip down the coast

Michael finally had his second "Kelly" day (a scheduled day off) since starting work with TVF&R so we took a little trip down part of the Oregon Coast. Since we live in Albany, we usually just go through Corvallis and out to Newport when we want to go to the beach. This time we decided to head North to Cannon Beach/Seaside area. We took our travel trailer and decided rain or shine we were going to make the best of it. We stayed at an RV park in Cannon Beach the first two nights. It rained pretty good on us the first day so we didn't do much of "camping", instead, we spent some time in the pool and hot tub at the RV Park. The kids loved it! I sure hope Makayla doesn't start to think that all campgrounds have a pool.

When we got up the next day it was a pretty nice day so we headed to the beach. We spent some time in Seaside looking through the shops and had some lunch and then we went and played on the beach. Zoey (the dog) played more than anyone, Kaden and I took a nap in the sun, and Michael barried Makayla in the sand. All in all it was a nice day at the beach.

We traveled down 101 to just outside of Tillamook, to Cape Lookout. We had never been there before and really enjoyed it. We would have had more fun if the weather had been different, it pretty much rained the whole time we were there. We had a couple breaks from the showers which allowed us to have a campfire and take a walk on the beach but that was about it. We spent some time in the car checking out other areas we had not visited before, and took a trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and got some ice cream.
