1st Beach Trip of the Year

During Spring Break we were lucky enough to be invited to go with friends to the beach and stay the night at their beach house. Corey and Jessica have 4 boys, Campbell, Cooper, Coleman and Callen. Makayla and Kaden had a blast with all the boys! The weather wasn't the best, but we were still able to go play on the beach and at a local park. We can't wait to go back with better weather.

Congratulations Sarah

In March we welcomed a new brother-in-law, niece and nephew into the Doty family. Michael's youngest sister, Sarah got married. Sarah and her new husband, Charlie, went away to Florida to get married. Congratulations to the happy couple, and welcome to the family Charlie, Audrey and Vinnie.

My Big Eater!

Kaden is such a great eater. There are very few things that he doesn't like, but his favorites are; Chili, Spagetti; Lasagna; Curry Rice, Frosted Mini Wheats, any type of fruit! and the list continues . . . .

Potty Time!

Kaden has recently decided that it is fun to use the "Big Boy" Potty. I think it is peer pressure! There is a little girl, Alexis, at Nana's daycare who is 4 months older than Kaden. . . well she has recently been potty training while were over there. So, everytime she went in to go potty, he had to join her. Well, much to our suprise, he actually goes potty! We got the potty out at home and now he likes to go when sister goes potty. Other times if we ask him if he needs to go, he will march right in and try. I wasn't even thinking of potty training him yet, but it looks like I may have to change my mind.

Little mommy Makayla has been a big helper. She even takes Kaden into the bathroom, takes off his diaper and helps him on the potty. Although he did pee all over the floor yesterday, it is great encouragement for Kaden.

After successfully going potty Kaden gets a stamp on his leg. He thinks that part is great and sometimes we can't get him to stop trying to go just so he can get another stamp.

New Roomies!

Michael's parents sold their house last month, which as you know is a hard thing to do these days! So rather than rush into something new, we offered for them to stay with us for a while until the decide what their next move is. It has just been a little over a week now and things are going really well. We live in a daylight basement style house so we have the upstairs and they are living in the downstairs. Along with mom and dad came the cat and dog . .. .

I think everyone is setteling in great!
