Almost 2 weeks

Well this last week has been a rough one!! I started to get sick last Saturday, thought I had the flu. . . . well finally on Monday I hurt so bad in my abdomen that I had a friend take me to the ER while Michael was at work. Long story short, I found out that I had a Uteral Infection. I am now on my 4th day of medication and am finally starting to feel better. What an ordeal, I thought I was having labor pains again!! But I am happy to announce that today I can get up and around without too much pain. Poor Michael has had to take care of both kids and me since Monday. I couldn't even carry my ity bity baby around, it just hurt too bad. So Michael would have to get him every time he needed to be fed, change his diapers, bathe him etc. . . . Makayla was a great little nurse to have around though. She could tell that I didn't feel good and kept asking what she could do to make me feel better. "Would that make you happy mommy?" She was my little gopher, she really knows where pretty much everything is in the house so she could get me whatever I asked for. It was great.

The kids spent some quality time watching movies in bed with me while I was recovering.

The Nurses at the hospital were just awesome. They even let Makayla help give baby brother his first bath. She did a great job.

I am one day old today!!

Introducing. . . . Kaden James Doty

Kaden James Doty joined our family June 16, 2007 @ 5:37am after only 3 1/2 hours of labor. What a great suprise!! Becca didn't even get to bed until 12am and was very shocked to wake up only hours later having contractions. We very quickly packed up and left for the hospital. Contractions were very fast and hard but she managed through until finally getting some pain relief. The delivery went perfectly and baby and mom are doing really well. Kaden was sunny side up but everything worked out just fine.

Makayla is a very proud big sister!! She has been awesome and welcomed baby brother with open arms.

Just Waiting . . . . .

Friday, the 15th is the day we have been waiting for. Still not sure if baby is going to cooperate with our plan. :o) Everything with the pregnancy is still going good. Baby is growing just fine, and of course, so is mom. I am definitely at the uncomfortable stage, sleep is more challenging, though frequent trips to the bathroom have become second nature.

Day at the beach

On Michaels first day off after starting shift work we went to the beach. Makayla has been asking to go for several weeks now so we took the first chance we got.
