While we were camping this last time (the week of Aug 13) we did some rafting (floating) down the S. Santiam River. Makayla wasn't too sure about rapids at first but once Nana convinced her it would be ok she had a blast. She wanted to go again and again! We would raft from camp down to the day use area and walk back up to do it again. We finally got tired of walking back while carrying the boats so we timed it and told whoever we left at camp to wait 15 mins and then come get us. That was much more fun.

On the last day we camped we drove further up the river and did a 2-3hr float back down to camp which was a lot of fun. The whole Porter clan got involved.

2 Months Old!

We can not believe how time flys bye!! Kaden is 9 weeks old already. It just doesn't seem possible. He is growing and changing so much every day. He loves to talk to you and smile and coo. He is very alert and very interactive. He has quite a little grip on him too. He loves to hold your finger or grab his blankets. . . . . or your clothing or hair. He absolutely loves his baths!! If he is grumpy at all you can always stick him in the bath tub and he will instantly be happy. On the other hand, if you want to make him mad, just attempt to clip his finger nails.

Kaden has been very busy in his very short life. He has already been on 3 camping trips, where he did a little hiking, bike riding, relaxing under the trees. He really likes being outdoors.
